基本介绍（Profile）：

高权，纽卡斯尔大学博士，副教授，硕士生导师， 中国科协青年人才托举工程入选者。主要从事社会文化地理学等方面的研究与教学工作，研究专长为移民与人才地理、宗教地理以及东南亚华人研究。在Dialogues in Human Geography (IF =27, 地理学TOP1），Nature Cities (评论），Annals of American Association of Geographers (美国地理学学会旗舰期刊）, Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers （英国皇家地理学会旗舰期刊）, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies (IF=5.34, 人口学TOP1），China Quarterly，Geoforum，Habitat International， Social & Cultural Geography，Environment and Planning B/D、地理学报、地理研究、人文地理等SSCI及国内地理学期刊发文40余篇，其中第一作者或独立通讯作者发表SSCI论文20余篇。入选中国知网高被引学者（地理学，2024）。现主持国家自然科学青年基金、广州市基础与应用基础项目和中国科协托举人才等项目。英国社会地理学教材Social Geographies: An Introduction 的撰写人之一。担任期刊Transactions in Space, Place and Culture 副编辑、Humanities and Social Sciences Communications编委 (Nature旗下人文社科子刊）、《热带地理》期刊青年编委。

 

Dr. Quan Gao is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the School of Geography and Planning, Sun Yat-sen University. He earned his PhD from Newcastle University and was selected for the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Young Talent Support Program in recognition of his contributions to socio-cultural geography. His research specializes in migration and talent geography, religious geography, and Southeast Asian Chinese studies.

Dr. Gao has published over 40 articles in leading SSCI and Chinese geography journals, including Dialogues in Human Geography (IF=27, ranked #1 in Geography), Nature Cities (Commentary), Annals of the American Association of Geographers (AAG’s flagship journal), Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers (RGS’s flagship journal), and Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies (IF=5.34, ranked #1 in Demography), among others. More than 20 of these publications are first-authored or sole corresponding-authored SSCI papers. In 2024, he was named a Highly Cited Scholar by CNKI in the field of Geography.

Currently, he leads research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation for Young Scholars, the Guangzhou Basic and Applied Basic Research Program, and the CAST Young Talent Program. He is also a contributing author to the UK social geography textbook Social Geographies: An Introduction.

Active in academic service, Dr. Gao serves as an Associate Editor for Transactions in Space, Place and Culture, an Editorial Board Member for Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (a Nature partner journal in humanities and social sciences), and a Youth Editorial Board Member for Tropical Geography.
