China is making strategic moves in the management of public security in order to protect citizens’ lives and properties and maintain societal safety and harmony. It demands new research directions and objectives of crime geography in China. At present, the explosion of spatio-temporally referenced data from multiple sources, as well as the development of police geographic information systems, provides numerous opportunities to advance the research and practice in crime geography.

The International Conference on Crime Geography will be held at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China during July 3-5, 2015. It aims to share research findings in innovative theories, pioneering methods, and critical issues between academics and practitioners at home and abroad, to promote current research and practice in crime geography, and to shed light on the future of crime geography. We cordially welcome experts, scholars, and practitioners in crime geography, criminology, geographic information science, and other related fields.
