“非正规与管治:中国巨型城市的新发展”

学术研讨会的通知

由中山大学城市与区域研究中心举办的2012年中国-德国“巨型城市发展”学术研讨会将于2012年11月21日-23日在中国广州-东莞召开。会议组织者诚挚邀请中德专家参加本次会议,探讨“巨型城市”研究进展并推动两国之间的学术交流与合作。欢迎两国城市研究学者聚集羊城,共同探讨当代巨型城市发展的前沿领域与未来主题。

九、 会议注册费

注册费国外学者为300美元(含住宿三天), 国内学者为人民币800元,国内学生为人民币300元,将于2012年11月21日报到注册时收取。注册费包括一次会议宴会、茶\咖啡\点心等会间茶歇和其他相关服务活动。注册费不包括住宿费用;会议组织方将帮助参会者预定东莞住宿。广州市内考察不收取任何费用。

FIRST CIRCULAR

 

The 2012 China-Germany "Megacity Development" conference, organized by the Center of Urban and Regional Research, Sun Yat-sen University, China, in cooperation with Institute of Geography, University of Cologne, Germany, will be held in Guangzhou and Dongguan, China in November 21-23, 2012. The event integrates the 5th and closing Regional Workshop of Priority Program "Megacities – Megachallenge: Informal Dynamics of Global Change" funded by the German Research Foundation. In the frame of the program researchers from China, Germany and Bangladesh have worked on main processes and challenges of urban development trying to conceptualize the increasingly complex, globalized and informal dynamics in the Pearl River Delta, China and Dhaka, Bangladesh, during the last six years (2006-2012). The organizing committee warmly welcomes all scholars and practitioners working in the field of megaurban development to share and enjoy latest innovations and advances in the study of megacities, and to promote the academic exchange and cooperation between China and Germany.

 

Welcome to gather in South China and welcome to discuss the future of our megacities.

9. Fees and hotel

The registration fee is USD $300 for one foreign participant (cover hotels of three nights). For scholars of China, the registration fee is RMB 800 yuan and for students from China is RMB 300 yuan. The fee will be paid when you are registering on November 21th, 2012. Registration fees for all participants cover one banquet, conference packages (booklets), coffee-tea breaks, reception, and related services, but for scholars and students from China the accommodation fees are not covered. The organizing committee will reserve hotels in Dongguan City for all the participants.
